At PicassoMD, we always look for ways to help clinicians provide more holistic, high-value care. We’re excited to share that we’ve launched a new referral pilot in partnership with Maine QuitLink and the Community Care Partnership (CCP) of Maine practices.
Tobacco use remains one of the leading causes of preventable illness and death. However, for many patients, quitting is incredibly difficult, and even when they’re ready, navigating the resources available to help can be overwhelming. That’s where Maine QuitLink comes in. Their program offers free, confidential support for Mainers who are ready to quit, including counseling, nicotine replacement therapy (NRT), and other evidence-based tools.
Through this pilot, clinicians at participating CCPM practices can now refer patients directly to Maine QuitLink through the PicassoMD platform, making it easier to connect patients to the support they need.
We know that when referrals are easily integrated into clinical workflows, more patients connect to the right care at the right time. This partnership is an excellent example of how simple, thoughtful tools can help close the gap between intention and action for patients and providers.
We look forward to seeing how this pilot supports patients across Maine in taking the next step toward better health. And as always, we’re grateful to our partners at Maine QuitLink and CCP of Maine for their shared commitment to empowering frontline clinicians and improving patient outcomes.
